Set off on an extraordinary adventure through Morocco’s breathtaking landscapes on this 3-day adventure from Marrakech to Merzouga’s captivating Erg Chebbi dunes.
Day 1: Marrakech to Dades Gorges
From Marrakech, we journey south, traversing the majestic High Atlas Mountains through the Tizi-n- Tichka pass, offering breathtaking panoramic views. Step back in time as we explore the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Ait Ben Haddou and continue to Ouarzazate, known for its film sets.
Pass through the fertile oasis of Skoura and the Valley of Roses, where fragrant Damascus roses are used in luxurious beauty products. Our day concludes in the Dades Gorges, a geological marvel with towering cliffs carved by the Dades River.
Day 2: Dades Gorges to Erg Chebbi Merzouga
Day two begins with a drive to Tinghir to marvel at the Todra Gorges’ towering rock formations. After lunch, we head to Erfoud, known as the «capital of fossils,» to witness the fossil polishing process.
In the afternoon, we reach the golden Erg Chebbi dunes. Enjoy a camel trek to your luxurious desert camp, where a dazzling sunset, a landscape painted with fiery dunes, and a delicious Berber dinner under the stars await.
Day 3: Erg Chebbi Merzouga to Agdez
After a delightful breakfast, we start on a camel ride back to civilization. Our return journey takes us through the Rissani oasis, where we may visit the mausoleum of Moulay Ali Cherif, founder of
Morocco’s current dynasty. We’ll stop for lunch in the charming oasis of Tazarine, before traversing deserted plateaus on the backside of the Anti-Atlas Mountains.
The final leg of our journey takes us through Agdez, offering a glimpse of the lunar landscapes of the region.
