Welcome to the ultimate food-lover’s escape in Morocco: our Marrakech Culinary Tour, exclusively offered by Marrakech Tours Specialist. Over two full days you’ll explore the tastes of Marrakech, from bustling market stalls and aromatic spice souks to a hands-on cooking workshop and street-food adventure in the heart of the medina. This tour is designed to show you how Moroccan kitchens tick, the stories behind the dishes, and of course to let you taste your way through the city.
You’ll move at a comfortable pace, guided by a local who knows where the flavors hide, staying in central accommodation so you’re right in the action. Whether you’re a seasoned foodie or simply someone who enjoys eating well while travelling, this two-day tour offers both depth and delight. Ready to eat, learn and explore the culinary side of Marrakech? Let’s go.
Expect fresh markets, fragrant spice racks, a friendly cooking class, fun street-snacks and a deeper appreciation of Moroccan cuisine.
Your day begins with a morning pick-up from your hotel or riad in Marrakech. We’ll stroll into the lively market neighbourhood where fresh produce, herbs, olives and spices are piled high. Your guide will point out how locals shop: which vegetables are in season, how the spice stalls operate, and how dishes like tagine and couscous start life in the souk.
After gathering some ingredients and absorbing the atmosphere, we head to your cooking workshop. In a well-equipped kitchen you’ll join the host chef, learn how to prepare a traditional Moroccan tagine (perhaps chicken with preserved lemons and olives), and understand the role of key spices like ras el hanout. Once your meal is ready, you sit down and enjoy dinner with your fellow travellers—proud of your own creation and served with Moroccan hospitality.
After dinner you’re free to roam Marrakech’s medina for a bit more, or return to your accommodation to rest for the next day of food adventures.
Day two kicks off with a guided walk through the medina’s early stalls. We’ll visit the famous Jemaa el‑Fna square, known for its lively evening food-stalls and traditional snacks.
You’ll sample local street-food treats: pancakes (msemen), soup (harira), perhaps grilled meats or vegetarian options. Next we head into the spice souk where shelf-upon-shelf of spice jars tell stories of trade, flavour and Moroccan cooking traditions.
You’ll learn about blends such as ras el hanout and how they’re used in tagines and stews. To round off your tour we’ll visit a traditional pastry shop where you’ll taste Moroccan sweets and enter the world of cookies, pastries and mint tea. With your map of memories, we’ll return you to your hotel in the afternoon—full, inspired and ready to share your food-journey.
It’s a two-day food-focused experience in Marrakech, exploring markets, spices, cooking class, street-snacks and sweets, leading by a local foodie guide.
