Your day starts early when we pick you up from your hotel or riad in Marrakech. The drive to Ourika Valley takes around 45–60 minutes depending on traffic and weather, covering approximately 45–60 km.
As the city fades behind, the landscape changes: olive groves, walnut trees, rising slopes of the High Atlas, and glimpses of traditional Berber villages perched on hillsides. Along the way, we may pause for photos — the shifting terrain and ever-changing views make for beautiful scenery and a relaxing start to your day.
We reach the valley village near the river, where you’ll have time to stretch your legs and enjoy the fresh mountain air. From here, you can explore a traditional Berber village, observe local life, and take in the quiet charm of rural Morocco. This part of the valley shows a simpler, more peaceful way of life — a nice contrast to the bustle of Marrakech.
Next, we head to the area of Setti Fatma, the starting point for a pleasant hike to the waterfalls along the river. The trail is moderate and manageable for most travelers. A fairly straightforward walk — about 30–45 minutes — leads to the first waterfall; more experienced or energetic walkers may continue further to reach multiple cascades.
Once at or near the waterfalls, you’ll have time to relax, enjoy the views, or even take a dip (when conditions allow). After the hike, we stop for lunch at a riverside restaurant or café.
